So, finally the year 2009 comes to an end. I’ve decided to write a post on the overall performance of the blog. The performance does not mean how much money the blog made, but also where does the blog stand in these 5 months. 86blogger.com was started on 2^nd August 2009. But I imported few of my posts from my other blog. Officially, the blog is 5 months old, and it has been awesome. Not all the money has been made by this blog, as it is still in toddler phase. The money I have earned is both direct and indirect income from my other blogs. Here is the breakup of my earnings.

· Website Flipping- $1299

· Text Link Ads- $915

· Product sales-$795

· Paid reviews- $800

· Affiliates- $568

· Private Ads -$100

· Google Adsense- $90

 

My Online Business

All the revenue has come from all my internet business which has almost 15 websites, and I keep adding site every now and then, sell sites when I get a good price. I have few products of my own and spend 3 to 4 hours every day(8 to 10 hours in the weekend). Overall, my time is more profitable when I work online, but I am not following any business model. The year 2009 was pretty good for my online business, but I could have done more if I had a proper business model. As far as the earnings from this blog is concerned, I made just $7.95 by selling the Problogger Workbook.

Personal life

My personal life was pretty good In 2009, I was happy after almost three years, things are back on track now. I have taken admission in MBA and am expecting to appear in the first semester in January 2010. I tried to stay on a routine, but couldn’t do it for more than a week. I am still struggling with insomnia (up till late night and getting up at 12 pm). The other thing was, I started living with my friends, enjoyed the best moments of my life, visited different cities in the country, and financially, I am not sound.

Goals for 2010

I have a lot more thing to do in the year 2010 as I am 23 years old now, this online business gets more serious now. 86blogger.com will be the place where I’ll hangout the most. I am currently living with my friends, now, I am looking forward to have an accommodation of my own in 2010. Hopefully a place which is near my MBA institute, a gym, and a shopping mall. Monetizing my sites with Google Adsense will be in the top list as I will not be doing Paid reviews now. they take a lot of time, and the time of paid reviews will be replaced by guest posts. I am also going to pause developing websites and flipping them. I’ll be giving more time to promote my new service Launch My Site, which is yet to be launched.
