If you have not read my about page, let me tell you my story, how I got into money making online.

When I came to Delhi in 2006, I used to get a fixed amount of money from home. My monthly was Rs5000 ($125). Delhi was expensive and I was a teenager, so it was next to impossible to get all what you need at this age.

The most important thing is that you can’t get a girlfriend with that king of budget (you know, all the food expenses and mobile phone bills). You can never get any luxury with that much money. But sleeping was the only luxury you get free of cost, so I enjoyed it the most. You can’t imagine, I even lived a life where I had to skip one time meal to survive until I get money the next month.

This was the time I joined Global Vantedge India (GVI) in September, 2006. My job was to make calls to US, AT&T Account holders and ask for the payment of the past due amount on their accounts. This was not a respectable job but I had to do it, to cover my expenses I am so sick of these girls demanding gifts all the time.

But as I started working in GVI, I started living according to the US time zone. My social life went off and I was unacceptable in USA and even in India. I was a guy who had a Fake American Accent and an Indian Face. People of America were not ready to take me as an American whereas my Indian friends started calling me American.

After working there for 5 months, I finally quit the job as it was limit of my patience, I had no stamina to live jet lagged life without even traveling anywhere in the world.

I didn’t resign from there, I was absconding from there. And I enjoyed the most luxurious and free thing that is sleeping for two months. After that, when I again started getting tight with budget, I started looking for a job, and this time a made it very clear that I am not going to do a call center job. But also no sales or marketing field job.

So , I started searching for online job, any kind of, be it data entry, buying selling of any damn thing. I had already tried Adsense back in 2006 but it didn’t work for me. So I just started reading about how to earn money.

One day when I was reading an article on a Website, I noticed a paid post above it. there was also a banner that was of smorty. I clicked on it and came to know that I pays to review the advertiser’s products or services.

That was the time I came to know about getting paid by writing reviews on your blog.

Blogs were not new to me as I started blogging in 2005, but I was not a regular blogger and it wasn’t for money, I just made few pages writing about me and my photos. But this was the time I did a research about blogs and how is it useful in making money. I also searched all other sites like smorty. I got many sites like Sponsored Reviews, Pay Per Post, Review Me, Blogvertise.

And then I made my 1^st blog 365 dreams a year. It was on a sub domain. I wrote on that blog and submitted it free directories, did everything to popularize it. After one month I got an opportunity to review a products, that was the time I got my first $$ in my PayPal account.

At the same time a continued my research about blogs and making money online, as it was the only way to get financial freedom. I made a target that I’ll buy a domain as soon as I get that much in my PayPal. After writing two reviews, I got $9.75 in my account, so I registered a Domain AsioGroups.com and got it hosted on freehostia.com. but I also worked on my 1^st blog. I did the same thing on this blog too and after some time I started writing review on both blog. Being a student, I had plenty of time, so I devoted 8 hours daily to my blog and wrote reviews and popularized my blogs.

After just two months, I was making enough money blog my blogs. it was very less in comparison to all other big shots, but it added allot of value to my life. That was the time, when reviews were in craze and there was allot of money in it. and when the times passed by, I learned other ways of making money, like private ads, providing services, selling eBooks, affiliate marketing. However, I haven’t tried those entire things yet. But will try all of them in near future.

During the journey of making money online, I not only made money, but made few quality friends, got so much knowledge from designing to writing, from link building to SEO. As it is said “the process of learning never stops” my research for it will continue, as there is no Permanent method for making money online.

On 2006-07 it was reviews, and in 07-08 it was private ads. So, tomorrow it would be something else. I will keep researching and keep updating you all on this blog, so do follow my blog by getting its feeds in your favorite reader or get my posts in your email inbox.

There are a lot of people who make money from their personal blog, and there are people who have made their personal blog, a make money online blog.

Well, I believe that you can make your blog anything and write anything on your blog after get reasonable number of visitors to your site.

People, who don’t want to make money from their personal blog, are in minority, if you devote time to something, and it can give you some output, I mean it can add few bucks to your pocket, almost all of us would do it.

But one thing is very clear, if you have a personal blog, the chances of making direct money from you blog is very less, as people will read you blog just to kill time or they like to read your blog, you are not teaching them anything, So you cant sell them anything, I am not saying if its impossible to sell something to visitors, but that again is in minority.

The other thing about personal blog is, Search Engine Traffic is very less in comparison to other blogs which are on Hobbies or count even a How to Make Coffee blog.

They get more search engine traffic than a personal blog.

Personal blog readers come again and again to check what else is going on in your like, (if they enjoying the prior experience of reading your blog post)

Advertising can go well on your blog because you get traffic.

So, if you got a personal blog, enough visitors on your blog. You can make money and no one should mind it.

I believe, if you are putting your effort and time to something, it’s not bad to get something out of it.

Merits of advertising on personal blog

Personal blogs are blog where you write anything what like, so a person can like anything. This increases the chances of having so many things to advertise.

Demerits of personal blog

If you have got a personal blog, keep online ting in mind, the chances to sell something to your readers are very less. You can’t directly make money from your readers. This is because these personal blogs are written in an informal way and tend to give some kind of entertainment value to the reader. This is the reason people visit personal blog. They are not there to gain something or buy something.

Non profit making personal blogs

There are also blog that don’t make money. Few are not aware of it and few don’t want to make money from it. Most of them are personal blogs.

Yes, I am talking about a Domain and you will get it free.

There is no contest or condition to get a Domain.

You will still buy a Domain but you will not have to pay for it for 1st year. I think that is  Great.

1and1.con is offering .biz domain for free for 1st year, and after one year, they will charge their regular yearly fee of $6.99, which is again the cheapest of all

and I believe that if you are getting it for free for one year, you can avoid setting up your 1st blog on a sub domain.

For Beginners

As I already wrote about setting up a blog, I would like you to get this free domain and get started. you will defiantly make money in one year, just keep following my blog, Either by RSS Feed or by Email.

I have got many blog and I have registered all those domain from 1and1.com and I am Really Impressed by their Hosting. Its really worth.

But still, if you are tight with your budget, you can use free hosting initially, but let me warn you, Free Hosting Sucks ( I have experienced that).

And I also know that there are many bloggers who have written about what a blog is and what RSS is.

But still I wanted to write it on my blog, for my new readers. So people, who know What RSS is and how does it work, Please bear it with me.

RSS is nothing but a medium by which you can get feeds of your favorite websites. You can collect the content of a Website at one place, or in other sense you can say, RSS is a Content Provider, you don’t need to go to different websites to read, RSS does your work, it brings it to you. It collects everything at one place. The full form could be said as Rich Site Summary (RSS).

There are two types of feeds, Full Feeds and Partial Feeds.

There has always been a Discussion about which feed is the best. However I use full feeds for my blogs.

Well, I use Google Reader and Would Recommend it to all of you, because it is just like Gmail, where you get feeds from your favorite sites just like you get an email in your Gmail Inbox.

Well, as this is my main blog and I give much more importance to this blog than my other blogs, all because this is my oldest blog and it is my money maker. But Still I skip day to post something.

This is Because, I don’t have much to say. I stay online everyday for almost 10 hours ( Excluding Saturdays and Sundays) But Still I don’t  keep publishing like a Mad Bull.

My Excuse

The Reason is, I get nothing new to tell my readers, I get to read about 100 feeds of different blogs which are in business development or make money online thing. I read everything on their blog. sometimes I see the same topics on so many blogs.

After Reading all those posts, I fell everyone has put there thing online and I don’t have anything else or say anything new to say.

I don’t want to be repetitive, because I know I am not the only Business developer who whom your are following or visiting  blogs.

I fear that you might have read this on some other blog and now if I’ll write about it. I’ll Lose a Reader.

Other Bloggers think the Same way

There are many blogger who think the same way as I do. there is no need to be in this Niche, I am Talking about blogging as a whole.

There is no need to be sacred about writing what has already been written by someone else, or by your competitor.

Suggestion

I’ll suggest you to read that particular blog post, do a little research about it and see if he has forgotten something else to write, or has he written it the write way. will this post make everyone aware of it? Is he a good writer, a good narrator, a good presenter.

work on it and refers your readers about that post and tell that you would like to add few more thing to it.

The question arises when we get too many options. This is the situation of the Market Nowadays,

We have so many shops selling the same stuff, and the prices are unbelievable, we sometime think we could have got this thing at more less price if would have done a little more survey in the market.

What to choose?

It’s a fact that your never buy anything from the 1^st shop you enter. Why?

Because your do a little survey before buying it.

By saying this, what I am trying to say is, does it really affect your sales if you put the lowest price in the market. I suppose not.

You can never impress your client by telling the price of your product.

It is neither profitable for you to get less margin in every sale.

It’s good to earn a profit of $50 by selling 2 products instead of selling 10 products to earn the same amount.

You can implement more ideas to sell your product.

What really matters then?

Does quality matters? Yes.

But it won’t optimize your sales, until your present it in a way it should be.

Presentation is everything.

This is the reason, why companies hire MBAs, CAs, and CPAs.

They have the knowledge and know what the right thing to do is.

It is an Art of putting your product in front of your client.

Just think why anybody would want to buy your product if the same thing is available in the Market already.

I have just given a brief idea about selling your product, otherwise this is a very big topic, and I shall cover it in some other blog post.

Few say write a heading and then start writing a blog post, the heading help them to write on that particular topic, whereas few say, they do the heading after writing the post, so that it could be most relevant to your Blog post and people could enjoy reading your post, they should have an idea of what they are about to read, or else it could make them go away from your blog and never come back again.

Writing the Heading first.

This one works for many bloggers, this practice is good for people who write about giving tips on something, like how to make coffee, so if they give heading to it, writing a blog post will become early and you don’t need to be creative at all, I mean what could be the better title for a post which tell you about making coffee. How to Make Coffee is the best and simple title for a post like this. it is good for search engines too, as people would type in exactly the same words.

Writing the Heading later

I also write the heading of a post after I write the blog post. This is because I write something about, which have my opinion; you can say it reviewing something. So, it covers a lot of things. It become very tough for me to keep the same title which I wrote before writing the post, so, after writing the post, I review my post and give the most relevant title to it.

But in both the cases, you should try keeping it as simple as you can. There is no need to confused people. Writing a confused heading will never help your get a lot of visitors. This is something I call cheap publicity.

If you follow successful bloggers and are impressed by their blog post titles, let me tell you, they are not famous because of their fancy titles.

So, don’t let yourself go misguided to people who teach you which Is not necessary at 1^st step.

This type of experiments should be done when you have all the success in your niche.

Don’t just take any domain name, think, think and think which name you want you blog to call

A blog mainly contains Content and Pictures sometime, so it take not that much of space, so you don’t need a 1000gb space for just on blog, (you are not going to upload movies on your Hosting server)

So if the site offers you a minimum package plan, grab it, and if you can always upgrade you plan if you feel the requirement of adding few more blogs when you start enjoying blogging and want to add few more sources of income.

Changing the name servers

Now that you have got your domain and hosting, the next thing you have to do is changing the name serves, so that your domain can actually show your stuff which is going to be saved on your web space. Go to the control panel of GoDaddy.com and put the name servers provided by the hosting. Wait for few hours till the DNS refreshes.

By using the information given by the hosting, log in to Cpanel and make the MySQL database name, username and password.
