I previously told you about the consistency in blogging, now I would like to give you some live examples here only.
I have got a friend (who actually got me into this blogging thing a year ago) who has got a very famous Gadget5 Blog. Later in two three months, I too started a blog.
But, to be a successful blogger you need to be consistent, where I was not good at it at all. And now after a year, I am still struggling to grab readers by writing these posts, he has started contests on his blog. And this time hi is giving away Digital Photo Keychains.
You guys must be thinking, what this entire contest has to do with consistency.
Let me explain.
Doing contest is a part of promoting your blog, but it is to be done at very advanced stage (if you are counted among those probloggers).
Obviously, he has attained that position within a year and other the other hand, it’s me who kept giving seasonal breaks to my blogging and it is the reason i am there at scratch.
He is not giving it from his own pocket; these digital photo keychain guys have contacted him to do so.
Everyone is benefited.
By doing this contest, he is thanking his readers for reading his blog.
The sponsors get free reviews from the readers.
Readers get a nice and very sleek digital photo key chain with 1.5 inch 128×128 LCD display. It has 4.8 MB of internal memory that can store up to 72 images. It weights only 85 Gms and the best part is that it can be converted into a digital clock too. Supports almost all the picture formats and is rechargeable too.
So, if the readers are getting such a nice thing, why wouldn’t they read his blog?

Contests - it seems everyone is having a contest these days. I wonder how productive this really is. It seems people sign up to get the prize but then don’t come back to read the actual content.
